AMD has introduced two new 28nm GPUs namely the AMD Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition and AMD Radeon HD 7850. Both GPUs are equipped with a 2GBs of GDDR5 memory and adopt AMD’s Graphics Core Next Architecture (GCN), PCI Express 3.0 and the AMD ZeroCore Power technology. The AMD Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition and 7850 GPUs will be available worldwide from add-in-board partners including ASUS, HIS, Club 3D, Gigabyte, Diamond, MSI, Sapphire, VisionTek, Powercolor and XFX. Here’s a glance at AMD’s upcoming Radeon HD 7770 graphics card. Based on the new Cape Verde XT GPU, the card is packed with 640 Stream Processors, a 128-bit memory interface, a GPU clock of 1000MHz and a 1GB of GDDR5 memory set @ 1,125MHz (4.5GHz data rate). Connectivity-wise, it has one DVI, one HDMI and one mini-DisplayPort. The Radeon HD 7770 is expected to hit the market on February 15th for unannounced price yet. [Softpedia]
